The SINGING ROCK via ferrata set is equipped with automatic snap hooks. The one-hand carabiners of type "K" for via ferrata have an ergonomic shape. The high-quality carabiners can be easily and quickly attached and detached. The energy absorber of the via ferrata set is quite small and performs excellently. The "tearing" webbing absorbs the fall energy as much as possible. The tests, which are carried out again and again, show fall forces of less than 5.3 kN impact force. Compared to a dynamic climbing rope, the impact force is relatively low. The shock absorber is attached to the harness with an "anchor stitch" knot. 'The loop is twisted once in itself to be able to lay this knot perfectly. This is quick and easy, safe and preserves freedom of movement. The two tentacles are sewn into a central loop and are independent of each other. This leads to an increase in safety, since each arm grips the energy absorber individually in the event of a fall.

The loop can also be used to attach the carabiner, e.g. B. when covering larger structures or as a rest loop, i.e. if you want to sit down in the via ferrata set to rest or take pictures. The via ferrata set will not release if the pulling force is less than approx. 120 kg. Resting with your own body weight is therefore possible.Even when walking in non-dangerous terrain, you can simply hang the carabiners in this sling without having to dismantle the via ferrata set in order to create an overview and order on the harness. Basically, the rule "always between the belt and the metal shock absorber" applies so that the chain is attached in the correct order and misuse cannot occur. The shock absorber will be a maximum of 120 cm long if it tears open completely. In order for the fall arrester to work, the person including equipment must have a minimum weight of 50 kg and must not exceed a weight of 120 kg including equipment.

The tentacles or branches of the via ferrata set are 50 cm long and, thanks to their elasticity, can be extended to a length of up to 90 cm. Longer does not make sense, since the user would then no longer be able to grab the carabiner. The via ferrata set only weighs approx. 500 g. The via ferrata set meets the EN958:2006 + A1 standard. The two branches or tentacles are kept in different colors to have an identification. In an emergency situation, this can help to make commands safer, for example. For example, "please put the carabiner on the black tentacle and not the carabiner on the green one...". This color coding is very useful and helpful.

The EDELWEISS MYGALE II harness is light (approx. 400 g) and yet comfortable. Good for climbing, walking or also suitable for a ski tour or glacier tour. Because the belt has no additional padding, it is light, has a small pack size and dries quickly. The universal size fits hips with a circumference of 60 - 117 cm and thighs with a maximum circumference of 90 cm. The belt is supplied in a storage bag or transport bag.

The ROCKHELMETS HARD HAT helmet meets the EN 12492 standard for sport climbing helmets. It has a polycarbonate shell. The headband is sufficient for size adjustment from 54 to 62 cm using the dial on the back of the head. The helmet has good ventilation and weighs approx. 395 g. Not hard. The helmet can be delivered in the colors black, red, orange or white. We do not recommend a black helmet for mountaineering. Black helmets get hot when the sun shines. Better is a white helmet that doesn't absorb the sun as much, or red or orange, which can help in a possible search, as you can see red or orange dots.
